The Mane District in the Pidie Regency is one of the areas in the Aceh Province where conflicts between humans and wildlife are most common, particularly with Sumatran elephants (Elephas maximus sumatranus). In order to mitigate these conflicts, BKSDA Aceh and FFI collaborated to install a 6.5 km electric shock fence in Gampong Blang Dalam. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of electric shock fences in mitigating elephant conflict. This research was conducted in Gampong Blang Dalam in the Mane District of the Pidie Regency. A purposive sampling technique was used and the observation location was intentionally selected based on the installation area of the electric shock fence. Installing electric shock fences on agricultural land was approved by the community, and conflicts with elephants, as well as community fear, decreased. Socially, installing electric shock fences increased the community's sense of security compared to before. Economically, installing electric shock fences can increase protection of agricultural and plantation crops, improving the community's economy
