The Lae Soraya Restoration Area is a former production forest damaged by logging, and habitat restoration has been carried out for various wildlife species, especially birds. This study aims to determine the types of birds and their level of diversity in the area. The method used in the field survey research with direct observation using the (Index Point of Abundance) count points placed at three stations, each station 1, 2 and 3 with a total of 10 observation points. Data were analyzed using the Shannon-Wiener diversity index (H '). The results showed that there were 72 bird species from 31 families with a total of 416 individuals. The Pycnonotidae family dominated with 11 species. The diversity index value (H ') ranged from 2.99–3.33, including the medium to high category, which indicates that the habitat conditions of the Lae Soraya Restoration are still good for bird life
