A hydrological flood disaster is an environmental problem that often occurs in various regions, including BKPH Krueng Aceh, UPTD-KPH Region I Aceh. This natural phenomenon has a significant impact on people's lives, causing environmental damage and resulting in economic losses and infrastructure damage. Therefore, it is important to develop effective strategies in overcoming hydrological flood disasters. This thesis research uses a qualitative research approach, incorporating research subjects collected from various case studies, interviews, personal observations, and observation texts. The results of this study include: (1) A description of the location of BKPH Krueng Aceh at the coordinates 5°3'41”-5°38'10” N and 95°11'41”-95°49'46” E with an area of 176,609.49 ha; (2) Climate type B, tropical rainforest (Q=27.39%), (b) soil types: Ultisol, Entisol and Inceptisol; (c) topography: flat, sloping, slightly steep, steep and very steep; and (d) land cover: primary forest, shrubs, open land, residential areas, rice fields and secondary forest. (2) The level of community knowledge and understanding of flood disasters: (a) The level of knowledge: Sufficient knowledge, (b) Form of knowledge: Factors causing flooding, (c) Level of understanding: Sufficient understanding, and (d) Type of local wisdom: Conservation of forest buffer zones. (3) Types of flood hydrological disaster mitigation: (a) Mechanical method: River dams, (b) Vegetative methods: Reforestation and greening, and (c) Non-structural methods: Limiting the conversion of forest land.
